Proposed Sittings, Fall 2022

Under the direction of the Chief Justice, the Judicial Administrator will give advance notice of the proposed sittings of the Federal Court of Appeal. The Bar is requested to take account of such proposed sittings when making applications for hearings in person.

Whether the Court sits in person in the above cities during these periods will depend, among other things, on public health recommendations and the number of cases ready to be heard in person in those cities on those days.

The Federal Court of Appeal expects to hold hearings in person as the default option beginning in September 2022, assuming that public health conditions continue to improve. It will hold virtual hearings where circumstances require or where a request is made by the parties in accordance with the Notice to the Parties and the Profession of June 14, 2022.
